About
We are Tieko and Curtis, the co-creators of pēpō Puzzles. Working creatively together since 2011, this project feels like the bloom of our journey. Each puzzle is conceptualized, photographed, and created to capture the beauty, joy, and humanity of Black and brown people in art form.
Assuming. various roles, we conceptualize a story for a photoshoot. The process includes designing a vision board, securing a model, sourcing set details, photographing the vision, and choosing the image for each puzzle from hundreds of options that honor the story.
Our puzzles are all 1,000-piece puzzles, crafted from high-resolution non-fade chipboard. So sturdy, you can save your puzzle with puzzle glue for framing, hanging, or easy storage when you are done!
We believe deeply in substantive mental health practices and hope our puzzles offer you a space to support your emotional wellness.
